We had been through Springfield several times and had somehow missed this gem. Marianne was working the bar and she was friendly and attentive. The place is charming, clean and with good prices for beer and wine. The decor is eclectic; there is even a working cigarette machine! The outside back area is beautiful and spacious, with lots of places to gather and talk. We went on a Friday and the DJ played a good mix of music genres- from Old school Rap to rock and roll. Definitely on our list to visit again, soon.
This Pub is the literal best. I come here with my pup Millie as it is dog friendly, and all the bartenders are glorious human beings. Jessie in particular slays at everything she does and is very attentive to her patrons I thoroughly appreciate this dive bar here in Springfield
A very cool little gem that really showcases the best of jacksonville's urban and artistic personality. I love all the vibrant art and the welcoming staff here. Good brew selection too. (:
If you’re looking for a neighborhood dive bar, this is the perfect spot. Always inviting some of the best bartenders around. Gram and Jessie always make me feel at home when I walk in and Ian thank you for having such a great bar! Live music all the time and you have to checkout the backyard. Don’t pass this place up!
Truly fantastic dive bar. The beer selection is great with a handful of local and domestic taps. The fridge has a large rotating stock of craft and import cans and bottles as well as a few sake choices. The small food selection is tasty, the Cuban is great for 8 and the boiled peanuts are a savory late night snack. There are also a number of weekly events as well as irregular happenings here. Monday the garden club meets out back Tuesday is trivia with Shelton as well as 2 Guinness pints until the keg kicks Wednesday is Karaoke night
Great chill place to be. Dog friendly. Everyone comes here from all walks of life. There's always music, trivia, chess, karaoke, jazz going on here. There's a big outback area w a fireplace, additional bar, chairs , benches. 2 bathrooms inside. Sometimes a food truck is here
I showed up for Mike 's monthly cheesesteaks, and was not disappointed. Normally, I'm not a big cheesesteak person, but I think these were how cheesesteaks were intended to be. Absolutely fantastic!
This bar is everything a dive should be! Its small interior is made up for by its huge personality. There is also a nice patio out back if you're looking for more space. The bartender was great, but his dog was the real star of the show.
